About Me

I am Shary. A Mexican architect based in Barcelona, specializing in the influence of space in education.

After earning my degree in architecture from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), I delved straight into the professional arena, taking on the mantle of head of design at an architectural firm for over two years. This leadership role provided me with invaluable hands-on experience in project management, team coordination, and design execution. Overseeing the development of office spaces spanning up to 4,000 square meters, I served as the primary liaison between clients and construction teams, ensuring seamless communication and successful project delivery.

Simultaneously, I am nearing the completion of a theoretical master’s program in art education, based in Barcelona. This academic pursuit is focused on refining the design process of educational infrastructure, reflecting my deep-seated commitment to integrating architecture and education. Through this program, I am exploring innovative methodologies to enhance learning space design, with the ultimate goal of creating environments that nurture creativity, collaboration, and holistic development.

With over four years of extensive experience in the design field, I have actively contributed to exhibitions both within and beyond university settings. Additionally, my involvement in international architecture student groups has broadened my horizons and enriched my perspective on global architectural practices.

During a research exchange program, I embarked on a study exploring the intersection of urban design, educational infrastructure, and human behavior. This endeavor further fueled my belief in the transformative potential of architecture to address societal needs and enhance quality of life.

Despite acknowledging the inherent limitations architects face, I maintain a steadfast belief in the transformative potential of design. By implementing innovative projects, I aspire to drive meaningful change.
